The International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences
ICCES (International Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences) was initially founded in 1986 as ICCM (International Conference on Computational Mechanics) by Professors Satya N Atluri and Genki Yagawa, to become a forum for then burgeoning discipline of Computational Mechanics. It was the first such international conference. It was held in 1986 at the Tokyo University of Science, under the leadership of the legendary academicians: Professor Hiroshi Miyamoto of Tokyo University of Science, his student Professor Masanori Kikuchi of the same university, and Professor Genki Yagawa of the University of Tokyo.
ICCM transformed in to ICCES at the 1991 conference held in Melbourne, Australia. The Silver Jubilee conference is being held in 2019, again at the Tokyo University of Science, by those who inherited the legacies of Professors Miyamoto, Yagawa, and Kikuchi: Professors Yoshimura, Okada, Iura, Kakuda, Kawai, and Shibahara. -
The 5th International Conference on Long-Term Behaviour and Environmentally Friendly Rehabilitation Technologies of Dams
The 5th International Conference on Long-Term Behaviour and Environmentally Friendly Rehabilitation Technologies of Dams (LTBD2020) will be held from October 30 to November 1, 2020 at Hohai University in Nanjing, China. Hohai University is a state key university under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of China. The Chinese name “Hohai” means water and sea. The university was founded in 1915 and has earned a worldwide reputation for its research and education. The city of Nanjing is the second-largest city in eastern China, with a total population of 8.18 million. The city, whose name means ‘Southern Capital’ has a prominent place in Chinese history and culture, not only with the stirring mountains and gentle waters that surround it but also with its more than 2400 years of urban history. The LTBD2020 conference will provide an excellent opportunity for high-level scientists, engineers, operators and young PhD students to present and exchange their experiences and the latest developments related to the design, construction materials, performance, rehabilitation and environmental aspects of earth, rockfill and concrete dams. Participants intending to give a talk or to present a poster are invited to submit a two-page abstract in English.
